Uzma Kazi

Welcome!

I’m Uzma, a Bradford-based Theatre-Maker, Co-Conspirator, Visual Storyteller and Therapist. I have a curious mind and I aim to use a collaborative approach when working with people and materials. My website showcases some of the projects I have worked on in my practice.

Over my years of practice, sometimes these seedlings of stories have been translated into design for theatre productions, illustrations, dialogue & listening circles, radio programmes, projects in festivals, youth & community engagement, banner making for protests and sometimes it has been about sitting together with others in stillness.

The topics I am moved by are:

Design, Art, Materials, Colour, Concept, Narratives, Storytelling, Process, Play, Change, Identity, Gender, Culture, Race, Transitions, Voice and Choice, Self, Belonging, Community, Life Cycle, Place, Development, Being & Becoming, Wellbeing, Being Human…

…and I am an open-minded creative spirit who enjoys a challenge, starting with a blank canvas.

Thank you for visiting my website!
